1. General Rules
- Respect all players and staff members at all times.
- No harassment, racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination.
- Exploiting game mechanics or bugs for personal gain is prohibited. If you encounter a bug, please report it immediately.
- Do not use any external cheats, mods, or hacks.
- You must be 18+ to play on Vertical RP.
- English is the primary language in the city. Use English in all public interactions.
- Must Have a working microphone with no Background Noise.
- ERP/Erotic Roleplay is strictly prohibited
- External Crosshairs are strictly prohibited
- The only approved Graphic Packs are NVE and QuantV with or without Reshade. Anything else is prohibited unless explicitly approved by management.
- No racial, homophobic, or graphic steam names will be tolerated and will result in a ban until corrected.
- No griefing Continuously harassing a player in multiple consecutive scenes is not allowed
- Known permanent Green Zones: All Medical Facilities, & LEO facilities.
- Do not VDM Vehicular Death Match (VDM) is deliberately using vehicles to harm or kill others without valid roleplay reasons.
- Do not RDM Random Death Match (RDM) is prohibited. Any interaction involving violence or harm towards another player must have a legitimate roleplay initiation.
- NO Fail RP refers to breaking character or not role-playing realistically. Stay in character and maintain a realistic approach to situations.
- Fear RP You must fear for your life in situations where a gun is held to your head or when you are outnumbered.
2. Roleplay Standards
- We are here to roleplay and expect adults who can seperate a video game and real life. We want the best of the best Roleplay
- Vertical Staff/Management are not here to micromanage roleplay or play favoritism. We are here to build with the community not act above it.
- Do not break character for any reasons. This means using OOC terms.
- We have 0 Tolerance for Metagming Using outside information IC will 100% result in punishments.
- Players can identify each other through visual cues such as faces, tatoos etc However, voice cannot be used as a means of identification.
- New Life Rule Players are allowed to remember what happened to them before going down (dying), except in two specific circumstances. The two exceptions are if the person is dumped into the ocean or dropped from a height as tall or taller than the Dam in Mirror Park.".
- Talking While Downed While you are allowed to speak while downed or injured, your speech must reflect your condition. Do not engage in normal conversations or interact with friends while on the ground from any type of injury.
- Returning to Crime Scenes Players, especially criminals, should not return to crime scenes or linger around them. Criminals cannot return to scenes after being downed. Police officers can only return to a scene if it is still active and receiving ongoing calls.
- Combat Logging Combat logging refers to logging out of the game to avoid an ongoing interaction or to prematurely end a scene. This includes situations where a player is involved in a shootout, being pursued by the police, or being robbed.
3. Communication Rules
- The vertical team is always available to assist in anyway possible via ticket.
- No Metagaming through discord, streams, or anything other than IC
- Criminal scenes must have proper buildup and realistic motives.
- Do not abuse game mechanics or loopholes during illegal scenarios.
- Escalation must stay fair, believable, and roleplay-driven.
4. LEO & EMS Rules
- We do not allow any whitelisted job to partake in corruption RP
- Maintain professional conduct and high quality roleplay in every scene.
- Do not abuse department vehicles, tools, or authority this can be considered metagaming.
- Raids can only be done when party being raided is confirmed In City.
- EMS/Cops should not be returning to ACTIVE SCENES, meaning they should never re-engage in combat once they’ve been downed and healed.
5. Vehicle & Property Rules
- No abuse of ownership systems, vehicle storage, or property mechanics.
- Vehicles must be used realistically and without exploitative behavior.
- Do not use assets or properties to gain unfair mechanical advantages.
- Respect housing, vehicle, and shared property server systems.
- GTA driving is allowed in the aspect of rat strats, jumps, blocks etc. Do not send you vehicle off mountains.
6. Criminal Activity Rules
- Illegal Bragging Engaging in illegal activities and boasting about them on social media platforms, specifically Birdy, is not allowed. This behavior does not reflect realistic roleplay and should be avoided.
- Criminals who do not alter their outfits, cars, or habits can be identified and targeted based on this consistency.
- In all criminal scenarios, criminal groups/organizations must consist of a maximum of six members.
- Solo robberies or robbing banks, jewelry stores, etc., without hostages are not allowed. It is considered a low-effort roleplay. Exception to the rule: ATM Robbery does not require Hostages.
- You are not permitted to take a police hostage unless there are at least six cops online.
- Taking employees hostage from these businesses is frowned upon as they contribute to the immersive world and community we have built.
- You are not allowed to keep a hostage inside a location where a robbery has a cooldown. If you bring a hostage but the robbery still has more than five minutes left on its cooldown, please release the hostage, and exit the scene.
- When engaging in illegal activities such as crime or drug sales, any vehicle can be used except aircraft and motorcycles. Motorcycles can be used as a secondary swap in robberies however under no circumstances can they be used in drug runs/sales
- 15 Points system is in affect once 15 VAFs on a vehicle is met the vehicle will be crushed. Yes DOJ can remove VAF points.
- NO chain robberies. Allow at least a 30-minute interval between each robbery. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including the confiscation of items.
- When a tsunami warning appears 30 minutes in advance, all bank robberies, Vangelico heists, convenience store robberies, and similar actions must be put on hold unless started before the .
7. Gang Rules
- GANG RP ISN'T MADE FOR EVERYONE!.
- Gang Member Capacity cannot exceed 15 for non whitelisted gangs. 21 for Whitelisted
- No new community player may become a full member of a gang within 14 days of joining Vertical to prevent "fly in shooters".
- Anyone leaving a gang will be placed onto a 30 day cooldown to join another gang unless the prior gang disbanded
- Beef should be a series of incidents not going straight to guns! We want and crave good gang roleplay.
- 24 Hour rule any gang caught avoiding the beef/conflict RP will be subject to a gang strike. Roleplay it out does not have to be a shootout
- No lame shootouts over nothing like a minor car accident. Be creative we value Roleplay over gunplay.
- No petty reporting only report rulebreaks.
- In all scenarios, criminal groups/organizations must limit themselves to 6 members when it's gang vs gang or Cop vs gang.
- All gang members are allowed to shoot when in their approved territory. Your entire turf is considered your castle.
- territory rule of thumb is 4 postals,.
- NO Hand Holding You MAY NOT mix members from different gangs into the 6 man limit for beef. Must be all from your gang.
- Beefs/War shootouts are limited to 3 VEHICLES PER GANG
- Initiate before shooting. Starting beefs should be a story, and should be roleplayed to the point of shooting
- Death ramming will be considered not valuing your life and will result in punishment.NO head on BS or torpedoing into others.
- Any toxic nature during beef will be subject to bans. Examples hackusating, emoting/talking/taking photos on dead bodies etc.
- Any OOC instigation or toxicity will not be tolerated. Bringing the beef into gang discord, or other peoples DM's will result in a 72 hour Ban.
- 48 minutes between slides, The timer starts after a scene has been inactive for 5 minutes.
- Once the timer is in play you CANNOT instigate, shit talk, clean off gang sprays, anything to get a reaction out of another crew.
- We ask all members of the community to maintain clipping software. Echo scans are recognized here refusal can result in permanent ban.
